Creosote Treated Lumber is black in color, impervious to water and livestock will not crib (bite) on it. This wood has been preserved by pressure treatment with an EPA - registered pesticide containing creosote to protect it from insects and decay. The Creosote penetrates deeply into the wood and remains for a long period of time. This Pressure treated wood is an excellent choice for high humidity climates that are susceptible to insect infestation and wood decay. This wood is not for use in residential interiors or in areas where it will come in contact with human or livestock food.
Creosote Treated Lumber packages. The packages are available with 4” X 4” or 4” X 6” posts with 1” X 6” rails on 6 foot centers. Which means our posts are spaced every 6 feet. This gives you a stronger fence. When comparing prices, other companies may seem cheaper, but most use fewer posts and space them every 8 feet instead.
